It was created in celebration of the coming new year, and was released alongside a different Nordhell for GZDoom. This WAD was later updated by Eternal in 2008 and 2009 to add two new maps to similarly celebrate the new years of that time. The PWAD furthermore comes with a custom enemy through DeHackEd, the evil marine originally from Scythe 2, but with a brown, rather than red, uniform.
