V-Ball - Beach Volley Heroes is the sequel to the NES game Super Spike V'Ball, an arcade game that deals with beach volleyball in a very special way. There are several teams you can choose from, such as Soldiers, Ninjas, Soccer players and so on, and each of them has got its own moves and special effects. There are commands for both heavy shots and for light ones, making you choose the strength to hit and throw the ball. There are no power bars and once hit, the ball flies to the opposing side automatically. The special moves can be triggered whenever you push certain button combinations (triangle and circle, circle and cross, etc) at the right moment. If it is a defense move, for instance, you must do it in response to others attacks. There is a Tournament mode, which is the main solo entertainment (although you can also play single matches vs the AI), but this game is clearly designed around player-vs-player mode, for arcade matches against human opponents.Adidas Power Soccer 98

Ring ni Kakero is a simulation of amateur boxing rather than professional boxing. Like in real boxing, there is a timer for each round. The game uses a manga outlook to the boxing scene as two fighters appear to fight using various cutscenes for action shots. The major changes and improvements have been focused on graphic and statistical updates rather than on engine itself. The most significant differences from the original are: Whole look of the game is less vivid in order to increase the level of realism. Some home, away and goalkeepers kits have been updated (including the All Star teams). The appearance of goals and nets has been changed. Squads have been updated to exactly reflect 1998 FIFA World Cup squads, the number of players in line-ups has been extended to 22 as well. Three difficulty levels instead of five: easy, medium and hard. The choice of match length has been widen to 30 minutes in spaces of 5. Match settings in Exhibition Mode now include the choice of uniforms, extended period, penalty shoot-out and golden goal. During the Cup Mode the statistics of scores and assists have been added. VR Baseball 99 contains all 30 major league baseball teams and stadiums. Each team consists of the 1998 opening day rosters. Play modes include exhibition, season, and home run derby. Options include: three difficulty settings, pitch speed, arcade or simulation hitting, fielding assistance, # of innings, DH, errors, injuries, and game time(day, night, dusk, overcast, or random). Season mode features a variety of options and statistics, including all-star voting. Leaving a pitcher in too long, colliding with a wall or another player, or a bad slide can all lead to injuries. When injuries occur the player is listed as day-to-day or is placed on the disabled list.
