The idea of this arcade game is deceptively simple: Guide a marble down a path without hitting any obstacles or straying off the course. The game is viewed from an isometric perspective, which makes it harder to stay focused on the direction the ball is to follow. There are tight corridors to follow and enemies to avoid. There is a 2-player mode in which players must race to the finish; otherwise you're racing against the clock.
LemminGS is an unlicensed port of Lemmings for the Apple IIGS.
The graphics were pulled from the Atari ST version, the midi music from the PC version, and sound effects from the Macintosh version. The ST version was also used as a general reference with some added improvements, the original game scripts by DMA Design could not be used.
This version of the game has 92 Levels, unlike the original official 16bit computer versions which have 120.
It was released as shareware
The player controls a small space ship which can move in all directions on a field that horizontally scrolls left and right. The player can shoot horizontally. Each level has a set number of alien vessels that must be destroyed to progress to the next level. Vessels track invariably towards the player, and the player loses a life if hit. The player starts with 6 vessels, and it's game over when all are lost.
Cosmocade: The Arcade of Tomorrow contains 2 separate arcade games for the Apple IIgs.
- Journey to Calibus: The player controls a small spaceship that can move in all directions, and fires directly forward. As alien ships are destroyed, they drop a number of power ups. Some of these power-ups contain maps which fill in the screen in the bottom left, allowing the player to advance to the next level when completely filled. The goal is to return to Earth, and there are 10 levels in total. The player starts with 5 lives, and it's game over when all are lost.
- Naxos: Played from a first person perspective, the player must shoot alien creatures as they appear on the screen. If the aliens are allowed to shoot, the player takes damage. The player has limited ammo, and must continually reload. The player has a health bar, and when all health is depleted, it's game over.
Bouncing Bluster is a 1 - 2 player arcade game similar to Arkanoid. The player controls a paddle on the bottom of the screen that moves horizontally, and must bounce a ball to hit and destroy and bricks on the screen. The player starts with 5 lives, and it's game over when all are lost. Various powerups fall from the screen as blocks are broken, including multiple balls, the ability to shoot lasers, sticky balls, and thinner/wider paddles.
