Casper is a game developed by Absolute Entertainment and published by Natsume for the Super NES. The player controls Casper who is followed by Kat Harvey, and he has to protect her from any danger. Being a ghost, Casper can pass through walls and other obstacles, unlike in most Casper games, but he can't go away from Kat too much or else Carrigan's ghost will abduct her. The game follows loosely the plot of the movie. This game uses a revised Absolute A Boy and His Blob engine. Picking up special objects allows Casper to morph into these objects to clear rooms of enemies, and to protect Kat from certain hazards. Mirrors placed throughout the game allows Casper and Kat travel to other parts of mansion, and outside electrical lines allow Casper to pick up the last of the toys when he picks up the electric bolt morph.
Backwards Mario World is an easier hack that parodies the storytelling/style in most rom hacks.
This hack features an interesting overworld design where you play through the events/levels as if they already occurred. Additionally start-select is enabled because Mario has technically beaten the game already. Good Luck!
This hack features 6 rather lengthy levels. Although the hack can be played through normally in half an hour, you can revisit the levels to find new paths and many secrets. The difficulty ranges from very easy to very hard, the hardest sections being well hidden for the best players to find. Expect plenty of original gameplay ideas and nicely designed environments.
Tebeo is the creator's first ever SMW hack. They themed every level in it around comic books they like (Tebeo means comic in spanish).
The difficulty of this hack scales up a bit at the end of the game, and also at the last level of each overworld. Overall the game is easy/medium Kaizo difficulty.
All the mechanics and sprites are vanilla and almost all the graphics, except some stuff edited on yychr. It has custom palettes and music.
About asm, it has some life quality patches, like instant retry and NoMoreSpriteTileLimits.
Super Mario RPG: Armageddon is a difficulty and content mod for Super Mario RPG. It rebalances the entire game and adds a lot more post-game content, such as more FF bosses, two boss rushes, and even some special guests!
Here is a full ROM hack for Super Mario World which took 2nd place on SMWCentral’s Summer 2013 C3 awards!
Someone replaced the true moon with a fake one. Mario, without knowing anything, will be able to solve this problem thanks to “the little trip” he decided to have in midnight. He will encounter Youkais and weirdos in every stage, and he must beat them all in order to find the culprit. Before playing, read the .txt file. After that, enjoy and have fun!
El Dorado is intended to be fun and fair while still being challenging. The hack features 11 levels with a unique visual style and focus on being around 30-45 seconds per section before getting a midway or beating the level. Trolls in the game are light hearted and used sparingly.
This hack features:
- Soundtrack with nine new ports that I've done myself, including two original songs I wrote.
- No boss fights.
- No secret exits, all secrets are shoutouts to some of the streamers I enjoy watching or memes.
- Some chocolate in the form of custom blocks, custom sprites and some level specific gimmicks.
- Quality of life patches such as frame rule, spin throw direction, dtothefourth's retry system featured in Mostly Harmless and more.
Wile E's Revenge was the sequel to Road Runner's Death Valley Rally. In this game, you took the role of Wile E Coyote, and chased the Road Runner through various locations in the United States.
Super Full Metal Planet is an early SNES game by Infogrames. It is based off a French board came called Full Métal Planète. It is a turn based strategy game, where the goal is to collect as many ore fragments as possible and stave off rival companies.
Mr. Tuff is a 2D platform game in development by Sales Curve Interactive (SCI) and presumably set to be published by Ocean in 1994-1995. The game was done by the same people as Super SWIV, and as such, the graphics are incredibly polished. The game was apparently too ambitious, and was never fully complete (although the game engine and graphics certainly indicate that it is close).
The game follows a demolition robot known as Mr. Tuff. After the entire population of earth escapes to the planet Utopia, the army robots take over the world. It is up to Mr. Tuff to save the world for the peaceful domestic robots. The levels involve standard platform action, though there are a few shooter-esce hoverboard levels. Each world is set up into standard levels and a boss level.
Welcome to the creator's third hack, which features:
- 10 Exits
- custom music
- custom graphics
- some costum blocks
- some costum sprites
- QoL patches
