Short for Original Mario Hack, ~omh~ is the successor to the 2021 game, R-ACK. It is the 'is the missing letters of R-ACK'. It follows "The Plumber" as he explores OMHland.
Grand Poo World III is the third and final romhack in Barbarian's Grand Poo World series. The game is a continuation of Grand Poo World II, which is a Super Mario World romhack dedicated to Twitch streamer and YouTuber GrandPooBear.
Super Little Miss A.D.D. World is designed to teach basic fundamentals of Super Mario World to a relatively inexperienced player. This hack is dedicated to my daughter who would play Vanilla with me, but could only play Yoshi's Island 1, Yoshi's Island 2, and Star Road 2. There's no chocolate. However there are memes, jokes, emotes, tributes, some light-hearted trolling, and even a puzzle. There's also guest levels coming from some incredibly talented individuals, including 2 from Little Miss A.D.D. herself!
The design is to be a teaching hack, while not appearing to be a teaching hack, and can be played as a beginner alone, played together with a friend, or even as an experienced player looking for some lighthearted fun. This hack has 5 main levels, each focusing on teaching differing skills with a goal of preparing a player for Vanilla SMW or most easy to normal hacks. "Home" teaches basic fundamentals such as moving, running, jumping, carrying items, switches, and simple problem solving. "The Underground" adds
The sequel to Super Mario Adventure 1 that KaidenThelens made in about 5 months for a good friend SuperStu!
Mario and Luigi have been invented to the castle by the Princess to celebrate their 35 birthdays. But then Bowser sends a Magic Koopa over to Mario House, and sends Mario to a faraway island, and Kidnaps Luizi and the Princess! Get to Bowser's Castle and save the day! (and the cake.)
Also there's 69 exits.
Story: After the events of Super Mario Adventure 2, Mario and Luigi return home after getting some delicious cake from Princess Peach's castle. They have just moved into a new house so Mario starts unpacking, Luigi starts reading a newspaper. Luigi sees a scam ad in the newspaper telling them how they can “get rich quick.” Mario heads out to see if this scam is real or not.
On his way there, he trips and falls into a deep Cavern and stumbles upon a magical gem, 1 of 12 Gems of Good Game Design. Almost immediately after picking up the gem Mario is sent to Glitch World, and is told by a mysterious figure that he must collect the scattered gems before it’s too late, or else everyone, and everything will become a glitchy mess and the cartridge will get fried.
An adventure awaits! Have fun, don't die! Btw there's 94 exits.
"Sprite spam"
No term invokes more contempt. It's artificial difficulty. It's lazy. It's uninspired. Or so they say. And now... it's what this hack is about.
Plot: While Mario & Luigi were chasing after Bowser's minions, they find a way into the Subcon. While they're there, they hear that Wart's back.
Features
-Wall Jump
-SMB2 Health Bar
-Custom Music
-OW Coin Counter
-59 exits
"hmm what if i removed everything in a level except for the sprites and made the level around them" is what I asked myself one day, before deciding to do a whole hack about that for some reason.
-The name is pretty self-explanatory: Levels built around the sprites already in them.
-There have been some minor-ish changes to spice things up, also, and the star world & special world levels are completely original.
-This hack's aimed at people that are new to SMW hacks or haven't played any, so it starts out pretty simple, but ramps up, with the post-game being much harder.
-There's 92 exits
A full hack, with 10 worlds, somewhere around 65 levels, and 87 exits. Has a lot of custom graphics, though isn't exactly full of them. Not the best hack ever, by any margin, but I spent a very long time working on it, so I hope you enjoy it. Among its more original features are a new bonus game and several new or tweaked boss fights, with a new final boss, as well.
Finally, the moment some of you have been waiting for. After six months of hard work, I present the full version of Mario's Strange Quest! Now for the actual description:
In Mario’s Strange Quest, formally known as Super Mario World Custom 2, Mario embarks on a quest to find the seven Yoshi eggs that Bowser stole. Why did Bowser steal the eggs in the first place? You have to play to find out! If you thought this will be a typical quest, you thought wrong. You won’t always know what to expect; what kind of bizarre obstacles will Mario face on his journey?
This hack features:
-Custom Graphics
-Custom Music
-66 Levels
-79 exits
-Lots of Level Variety
Story: Bowser has tricked Mario into getting inside of a very strange glass box, called The Unworld. It is a very strange world in
there... Mario, inside, asks you to help get him out of there using the controller connected to the box. It is up to
you to lead Mario out of the Unworld and back to the real world in time to stop Bowser! Expect some humorous comments
and a some-what storyline within this.
To get to Bowser in the regular, just getting one normal exit after another path, will take you 33 exits. However, if you are a player
who likes looking for secret exits, finding new Overworld areas and paths, then you will have a whole 93 exits to find.
I only used Lunar Magic and the instant Death blocks in this hack, so I would call it a vanilla hack (I guess?) This hack
has, in my opinion and that of others', a very nice difficulty curve, where it is pretty easy in the beginning and slowly gets much much harder.
Many levels have hidden bonuses and secret surprises... So, what are you waiting for? Download this an
After almost two and a half years, Superstar Mario World is finally finished
This is a traditional styled hack. With 7 Worlds and over 50 Levels. The plot is your typical Mario plot, but this time, Bowser has also kidnapped the Yoshies and Luigi!
Rakugaki Mario is a love letter / pastiche / new(?!?!?!) romhack inspired by many hacks from the 2007-2009 era. What originally started as a semi in-joke between friends spiraled out into a much larger project, with a much larger author pool contributing levels (for better or worse). Making this hack semi-unique in nature is, in persuit of MAXIMUM AUTHENTICITY, all tools, sprites, blocks, and music (barring resources made specifically for the project) are from 2007-2009 too. That's right, we're talking Lunar Magic 1.63, JonWill's Blktool, MikeyK's Sprite Tool 1.22, and Romi's Addmusic 4.04. Of course, this wouldn't be playable on hardware by default. To comply with SMWC standards, only the fixed version is available below (in both Japanese and English). It contains the usual modern hack fixes (FastROM, QoL adjustments, Blktool Optimizer, ect), but that doesn't mean it's any less difficult! For SNESGT and ZSNES enthusiasts, you can also play the original unfixed (Japanese) version through this handy link right here.
Almost 3 years in the making, this is a spiritual successor to Super Nothing World, and Mario is on a picaresque journey to save the Mushroom Kingdom... or whatever.
I've incorporated some RPG elements into this hack. There's exploration, leveling up, and multiple endings. My idea was to make the dragon coin system from JUMP 1/2 into a central gimmick.
Level design styles include everything from standard: easy to kaizo: intermediate. Like most of my hacks, this pushes the boundaries between kaizo and standard. This is a hack that boldly proclaims, "Kaizo needs more fishin' boo." Let this be a warning.
My goal is to create a fresh experience that's accessible to kaizo players. If you decide to take up this challenge, I hope you enjoy!
