A full recreation of the Flash game Super Mario Flash by pouetpu hacked entirety into Super Mario World with improved graphics, music and small updates to the level design to fix up issues with the difficulty.
It's Christmas Day, and Red Toon Link invites his friends over for a Christmas party! He bought everyone gifts, and was prepared to make many people happy! Just one problem! He left the presents behind!
HyperBound is a game hack project that follows the trials and tribulations of an unnamed amnesiac, who is thrust into a world that is completely unknown to him. Playing with the affordances of the Super Nintendo game EarthBound, HyperBound explores ideas associated with videogames such as non-linear narratives and spacial storytelling.
The hack’s core game-play mechanic is the use of glitches as a metaphor for the deterioration of memory, with one of the central trials of the game’s story takes place inside the protagonist’s mind.
Its first public exhibition took place at the 2007 Axis New Media Festival (from September 7th to September 16th)
This is a hack I wanted to make for fun when I first joined this community.
I started making this hack with learning lunar magic for the first time and slowly throughout the creation of this hack I learned countless things about both the game and editor.
I fell in love with it all the moment I started tinkering with it and after helping a friend work on LoM I decided I'd make my own hack.
I'm glad to say that I am ready and happy to release this hack now.
This Super Mario World romhack is the result of over two years of work. It features lots of fun and varied levels, a new powerup, an original plot and a lot more. You play as Luigi seeking to go home from another dimension.
One-region exploration/puzzle hack focusing on using new items to overcome challenges.
Temple of the Winds
a Super Metroid hack by Moehr and Albert V.
This is the first hack of 'A Hunter Born' series
So why faster? Because you should.
This is the second part of the Y-Faster 2 project. It pays hommage to five more past hacks, memorable for good and bad reasons, with my own twists added of course.
So why faster? Because you should.
Just like its predecessor, this is a speedrun/race hack but much more ambitious.
Defeat 5 main bosses in 5 distinct areas then head to the final boss as fast as possible.
Each area can be completed in one run and in any order (no need to go back and forth between areas to progress).
Once the main boss is defeated, you must rush to the next area.
You don't have any time to spare as you usually do in most exploration oriented hacks as you instantly die when the timer reaches zero.
If you exit an area before beating the main boss, you're doing it wrong.
In case you're confused, look at the map - all area maps are available from the start.
The game is designed for veterans in mind and a few techniques may be required depending on your current equipment (mid-air morphing, crouch jumping, double bomb jumping, etc.) - nothing on TAS level rest assured.
Areas feature varying degree of difficulty, if you keep dying or make slow progress, maybe start over with another area first - some ar
Nabbit wants to be on the nice list for once, so he decides to help out a Shining Star asking for his help. Nabbit must now gather all of the presents on the island and bring them under the Christmas tree at the Star Shrine!
Nachos and Fried Oreos is a 15-exit "vanilla with ASM sprinkles" hack. The levels are short and sweet with a focus on action-packed platforming (inspired by the Japanese style of hacking). However, this hack is not your typical platformer. In Nachos and Fried Oreos, a game-over is truly a game-over! If you lose all your lives, your save file is deleted and you must start from the beginning.
The game includes 4 difficulties that determine the amount of lives you will start with. In addition, every level has 5 dragon coins and a moon. Collecting them will grant you a different reward based on your difficulty.
If you are a casual player and you would never touch a "hard" or "very-hard" hack, that's okay! That's exactly why we have created beginner mode. On this difficulty, you will be given infinite lives and can enjoy the hack at your leisure. Still, be aware that this hack is pretty tricky, even on beginner mode. If you are a more advanced player and love the adrenaline and excitement of beating a challenging segm
"Well, we psychiatrists have found that over 8% of the population will always be mice, I mean, after all, there's something of the mouse in all of us." - Kargol
this is a short 19 exit hack made at the beginning of winter 2018 c3, meant to showcase a lot of the cool stuff shown off.
In the adolescent year of 2018, one "stick mice in my head and then beat my head in with a hammer and let them back out" was birthed into the world via a purulent sludge. Quick, hasty, raw, it ended up being a moderate success.
"So 2 Mice Walk Into a Bar..." is not a sequel to that. There is no JUMP Team here. In fact, we hate JUMP Team now. This is instead a spiritual successor which focuses on the most fun aspect of "stick mice..." (quickly designed levels focused around an ASM gimmick of sorts) without the limitations of "stick mice..." (begone sole C3 resources!).
Much of this hack was designed during the month of December 2019, hastily and under the influence. We hope you enjoy it as much as we enjoyed making it.
