A full ROM hack for Super Mario World where you return to the world of Sub-Con to rescue the subcons and the princess from Bowser! All the graphics and levels have been changed and the game looks a lot like the original Super Mario Bros.2 title but with enhancements.
What if the King of Baron had banished Joanna rather than Cecilia? That Kluya meets Joanna, the two fall in love, and they have a son and a daughter? And that, after tragedy strikes, this daughter ends up been abandoned in the woods… only to be found and raised by the King?
A single ripple becomes a wave that sends a pair of lovers down vastly different life paths. Cecil, the White Wizard. Rosa, the Dark Knight. This is her story–one of redemption from the darkness within.
'Final Fantasy IV: Daughter of Darkness and Light' is a fork of the 'Project II: Final Fantasy IV' hack. Not only does it include the bugfixes, restoration of missing content and revised script of the latter mod, but it also an alternate story with Rosa Farrell as the protagonist.
Bowser's Revenge 4 has 8 Worlds and an additional Star World, and several unique bosses made specifically for this game. There is quite a fair bit of custom ASM,
especially in the Star World, which should make this an interesting experience.
The difficulty varies as it's fairly easy in the first few worlds, but
difficulty increases a bit past World 6, especially in World 8 and the
Star World. Unfortunately, I can't choose both Standard: Hard and Standard: Normal, but just know it gets more difficult as the game progresses.
As for the bosses, none should be too difficult or too confusing... maybe.
This started off as a low effort vanilla project, where the author would make each level in a day. But the author liked the levels so much I decided to put more effort into it.
King Boo has returned to force Mario players to socialize. Players must work together through shadows, riddles, and schemes to thwart his evil plans.
This QLDC Hackjam entry is designed to be played with a partner. You'll play together simultaneously, on different systems, with a way to communicate. The hack doesn't connect to the Internet. No special emulator is required.
BNW2 contains a total of 100 rooms across 26 exits, with 13 exits for Any% (no secrets/palaces). Most levels are 5-7 rooms in length.
Just like its predecessor, BNW2 is a showcase of glitches that exist within Super Mario World engine.
Some of these glitches (commonly found in "Kuso" hacks) can be extremely precise and require frame-perfect inputs.
My intent was to make the execution of glitches as simple as possible while still being challenging and fun.
Though the custom ASM & graphics prevent BNW2 from being a completely "vanilla" hack, the glitch tech involved *is* vanilla and can be reproduced in the base game.
The Search for Salmon is an expert-level Kaizo. The aim of this hack isn't to troll or torture the player, but rather to provide an extremely difficult challenge in a fair and interesting way. Players will need to employ a wide range of Kaizo and Item Abuse skills. Shell, spring, and p-switch tricks are used alongside tight platforming and jump control. Beginners will likely be very frustrated, but seasoned players will hopefully find a fresh, fun challenge. There are however, a few Kaizo boxes (both marked and un-marked) and few tricks and traps along the way. The game also features optional coins to collect for "100%" runs, and some secret rooms and surprises to discover. There's even a checkpoint-save room so console players can rest without fear of losing any progress! Extensive play-testing has been done by myself and others to confirm that the entire game is indeed RTA-viable. I hope you enjoy it!
Edit - Had to fix a few more potential music problems that would lead to crashes. Everything should be solid now.
