The aim of Armalyte is to progress to the end of a long, horizontally-scrolling level where the screen will cease scrolling and battle will commence with a Boss. Beating the Boss allows the player to progress to the next level. There are eight levels in all. Smaller Bosses are encountered midway through each level and these also have to be beaten to progress further.
During each level the player encounters numerous small enemy ships, many of which fly in fixed formation. Levels also feature scenery which can destroy the player's ship if touched. Weapons can be upgraded through an upgrade system.
EHIS gameplay included the basic running, kicking, shooting style but also had advanced technique gameplay which added depth and realism to the game. For example; turning naturally involved changing direction of the joystick, but instead of coming to a halt straight away, the player would slow down, stop and start to run in the direction of the joystick.
EHIS advanced techniques included The '5-direction' option. This meant that you could pass and shoot up to 5 different directions from where your player is facing. This was achieved by holding the fire button and pushing the joystick at an angle from where your player is running and releasing the button. Other techniques include sidestepping, barging, heading, back heels, lobs, diving headers, sliding tackles and many other miscellaneous features.

Top-view arcade game, similar to Gauntlet, where you play as pirate Blackbeard through four phases, fighting against pirates by finding guns, knives, immunity potions and taking care not to pick up rum that will intoxicate our hero for a short time.
The game consists of three phases: The town, the forest, the fortress, which will be loaded sequentially as we finish the previous one, it has a smooth up-down and right-left scroll that we will observe with the demands of our protagonist. Our protagonist will be able to move up, down, left, right and their respective diagonals, he will be able to defend himself with punches, kicks, blows to the neck and the deadly ax blows.
In each of the phases our hero will have to eliminate all the Krull enemies, with an incredible ability not to be slaughtered.
Our energy will decrease with each hit we receive and we will have three initial lives that will be added to those we receive during the game.
The display is a third-person view showing the player's ATF, which remains stationary on screen as the scenery scrolls past it, which takes up most of the screen. A head-up display is superimposed on the main screen; this shows engine thrust, the ATF's speed, ground height and altitude, along with the missile system available, direction of flight and a target's range and bearing.
The right-hand side is devoted to the "on-board flight computer" which shows enemy positions on a world map, the status of weapon systems and the ATF itself. Above the flight computer display is a panel which shows the score and number of lives left.
