    MSX
MSX Copycat is an adaptation of the classic memory game SIMON, originally created by Ralph Baer and Howard J. Morrison and distributed in 1978 by Milton Bradley (MB). This game was developed by Alberto (BCO) Sgaggero as part of the Retro Programmers Inside (RPI) and Phaze101 Game Jam. The game features four large squares in green, red, yellow, and blue. Each colored square is associated with the cursor keys on the MSX keyboard. These squares light up in a random sequence, with each square illuminating also emitting a specific musical note. Once the sequence is complete, the player must reproduce it by pressing the cursor keys corresponding to the position of the icons on the screen (for example, if the upper square lights up, the player must press the "up" cursor key), being careful to reproduce it in the exact same order. If the player succeeds in this task, they will be presented with a new sequence, identical to the previous one but with the addition of a new square/tone; the sequence to repeat becomes progres

    MSX
Homebrew port of "Gyruss" for MSX. Way back in 1984, Parker Brothers released the game Gyruss, which was a conversion from the 1983 Konami arcade game by the same name, for the Colecovision. Gyruss is a semi 3D, or tube shooter that resembles games like Feedback and Space Harrier. Now, almost 28 years later, we finally get to play this game on MSX because GDX made a conversion from the Colecovision version. The conversion is based on the Mission Colecovision emulator for MSX and features some nice improvements such as SCC sound by default and improved support for keyboard and joysticks.

    MSX
Fruit Mazes is a simple game for MSX 1, in a 16kb ROM using 16kb of RAM. The goal of the game is to navigate the maze in each stage and pick up all of the fruit in the maze within ten minutes, without touching the walls. It features omnidirectional smooth scrolling, which is not typical of MSX 1 games since hardware scrolling is not a feature of the TMS9918 video chip used in MSX 1 computers. The scrolling is achieved by pre-generating multiple sets of patterns, one set for each vertical scroll offset modulo 8, and by setting the TMS9918 pattern base address correspondingly. The game also has accurate roll-on/roll-off of sprites at all sides of the viewport, achieved by setting the EC bit on every sprite and by pre-generating copies of the sprite patterns with pixels masked out from the right. There are twelve stages, the second set of six stages has narrower corridors.
