Mahjong Haouden: Kaiser's Quest ("Mahjong Overlord: Kaiser's Quest") is a mahjong game released exclusively for the PC Engine. The game features a handful of RPG heroes as they set out to remove the various monsters and villains that have taken over their kingdom. To defeat these monsters, the player must beat them in mahjong games. The player has three characters they can choose between initially, and more become available later.
The mahjong side of the game offers a standard one-vs-one mode. The player has to win a few games to obtain 100% of the points available, and more points can be earned depending on how the player won.
