It is a Super Mario World ROM hack created by a mysterious Japanese ROM-hacker who goes by the name of Carol.
It's well known for being a hack with a large amount of custom bosses and ASM gimmicks, with its development being started when such things were but a dream in the SMW hacking scene.
The hack contains several references to many other video games, from Final Fantasy, to Twinbee, to Kirby, to Mega Man, to even Cho Aniki of all things.
Each level contains multiple enemies and even bosses. A level may contain more than 1 boss, though this is common.
Super Dram World 2 is a ROM hack of Super Mario World created by PangaeaPanga and is a sequel to Super Dram World. The ROM hack was dedicated to dram55, who is best known as being one of the top Kaizo Mario World speedrunners.
Super Dram World is a ROM hack of Super Mario World created by PangaeaPanga. The hack is intended to resemble the Kaizo Mario World series in level design and difficulty.
Mario & Luigi: Kola Kingdom Quest is a reboot of Super Mario Bros. 5 Reborn. This 74-level hack uses many of the same tilesets and music tracks, and World themes, but contains completely redesigned levels and a new, much less blocky Overworld. It also features REAL HDMA gradients and custom Layer 3 images. Difficulty is probably comparable to the average Mario game. It starts out easy, but gets harder as the game progresses.
Banzai Mario World features:
-Tons of levels and secret stuff, for a total of 40 exits! That makes it one of the longest Kaizo hacks ever made.
-Plenty of custom music, sprites, blocks, and graphics.
-An easy, beginner friendly difficulty level that should be able to introduce players to Kaizo. No more frusturation over not being able to beat something!
-There's a unique ASM gimmick in virtually every level!
-Six themed worlds and one special unlockable level, making it a truly full-length Kaizo hack.
-Ninety-nine lives given in the beginning of the game, so no more game overs (hopefully)!
-A hidden moon in every single level for the completionists out there.
-A difficulty level that can work as a perfect first Kaizo hack, although the hack fits well for players of all skill levels.
Kaizo Mario World, also known as Asshole Mario, is a hack created by T. Takemoto for his friend R. Kiba. It features extremely sadistic, unique and groundbreaking level design. This is also the hack that started it all, since the kaizo genre wasn't existent beforehand. The literal translation of "Kaizo Mario World" is "自作の改造マリオ(スーパーマリオワールド)を友人にプレイさせる", or in plain English, "Making my friend play through my Mario hack (Super Mario World)". Kaizo is a rough translation of the word "modify" or "change" in Japanese.
