Some levels require specific use of new tools they added to the format while others challenge your reaction time, made harder by the screen scrolling slower than the you can move, as you attempt to evade enemies and hazards while collecting the required number of diamonds before reaching the exit.

The game offers joystick and mouse control options, as well as sections in which you must direct ships and planes. A range of weapons are offered, with resupply ships on the water to dock with.
