This is a full four-episode megawad and gameplay mod for The Ultimate Doom. What started as "I'll make a few vanilla maps" turned into 4 full episodes with some modified weapons and enemies. The focus for this project was to create lots of fast action, fun nonlinear layouts that don't take a huge amount of time to complete, and as little grind as possible, all within the restrictions of vanilla doom v1.9. To accommodate that goal, most weapons and monsters have been rebalanced in favor of speed and/or damage vs. tankiness.
Second "explore" map jam - featuring five smallish levels in different themes and with experimental gameplay. No combat; instead, the focus is on exploration and solving puzzles or discovering secrets. The pack comes with two skyboxes, custom medieval-style item visuals, and the map sources are included.
Four small to medium-sized spooky Halloween maps: an arctic outpost, a Q2-textured mining complex, a pumpkin spice latte franchise place, and an infinite horde arena. Comes with a few new features, a custom skybox and new sounds.
Two small maps made over two days. Gameplay is experimental and focuses solely on exploration and finding the way to progress. There are no monsters and no serious threats to the player.
Pack of non combat maps. Some puzzles, some platforming and a lot of exploration! In comparison with 2 previous Explore jam packs this one is leaning toward walking simulators with a lot of environmental storytelling.
In the third installment of the Snack Pack series, mappers came together to contribute maps toward an 8-map Halloween-themed episode, with 3 extra maps in the hub as bonus levels. The pack includes a new 'Penetrator' stake gun weapon, the Rotary Shotgun from Dwell, and the Gaunt from Quoth as well as an updated Copper mod that features new Nightmare mechanics!
Enter a Quake world of pure concrete, minimalist structures, and eldritch horror. What started as just a map for QBJ2 got out of hand and became a standalone episode.
The attackers from outer space are back. This time, however, they are stronger and tactically better prepared to bring the world one step closer to its doom. Practically, this means blasting everything movable into little pieces and collecting bonus items. In higher levels, the enemies become faster and more aggressive. At the same time, their bombing frequency also increases. There are also several different enemies that break away from the formations and attack the player.
Black Diamond is a set of 5 boom-compatible maps set in the cavernous void of the sea. Uncover a forgotten civilization on your quest for the Black Diamond, a mystical artifact said to let its bearer see beyond death.
A cosmic cloud has shrouded the land in permanent darkness. Red death rains like blood. Monsters from beyond lurk in the shadows, spawning their evil offspring. Fight them with light and fire, find a sanctuary. Survive this unholy night.
The controls guide the player character, and a flashlight that illuminates the ground ahead. Press fire to use the gun. Gunfire will only strike an illuminated spot, or at close point-black range near the player character. If you let the monsters or their firepower hit the player character you will lose a life. A bonus life is awarded for every 10,000 points.
Simply Phobos (pe1_phob.wad) is an episode 1 replacement for Ultimate Doom by Paul Corfiatis in the style of Knee-Deep in the Dead, with a bonus secret level in the style of Inferno by Kristian Aro. It also includes a custom soundtrack by Paul Corfiatis.
The 40s wouldn’t be complete without a war hero. Vito plays the role well in the War Hero DLC pack. Drive 2 military style vehicles and notice the superior handling in all weather conditions. Vito looks sharp in 2 new military inspired suits, including a full uniform and fatigues.
Unfamiliar is a mapping project based around re-imagining the original Doom's maps. Some maps are quickly discernible and others have been reworked extensively to the point of only having a handful of recognizable areas. Maps are designed for standalone gameplay, both continuous or pistol starting.
A collection of maps that are short, sweet, and to the point. This wad is called Linux Jank as a reference to my learning all the strange quirks of Eureka Editor.
HOE Shareware is an attempt to imagine what a DOOM II shareware episode would have looked like, had the sequel followed a more traditional chapter-based style. It was made to be a cloudy miasma of the DOOM II I always saw in my head based on back-of-the-box description and strategy guide flavor text.
