Alien Invasion is a total conversion for Duke Nukem 3D: Atomic Edition. It was created by Fred Hero and released on June 16th, 1999. It contains new levels, new graphics (including graphics from Wolfenstein 3D, Doom, Doom II, Shadow Warrior, Blood, and Rise of the Triad: Dark War) new voice-overs (including voice-overs from Shadow Warrior), and new music (including music from Doom, Shadow Warrior, Blood, and Rise of the Triad: Dark War).

You start the game with only one character available to play with, but three more can be unlocked. The story evolves differently with the various characters, but the same levels are used. During the game, special powers have to be collected.

Enemies can run around, pop out of the ground, fly in the air, and come out of the water. Levels are completed by confronting and defeating a giant level boss. Aliens versus Predator offers three separate campaigns, each playable as a separate species: Alien, Predator, or human Colonial Marine. Each player character has different objectives, abilities, and weapons.
