Nobunaga's Ambition (Nobunaga no Yabou) is a turn-based strategy video game series first released in Japan in 1983. It is a series of loosely adapted historical simulations produced by the Japanese video game developer Koei. It features a predominately Japanese voice track though English dubs appear during movie cutscenes. It debuted before Romance of the Three Kingdoms but it hasn't been localized as often. Nobunaga's Ambition takes place during the Japanese Warring States period. As the title suggests, The player is tasked with achieving the ultimate goal of warlord Oda Nobunaga; the conquest and unification of Japan. Selecting Nobunaga is optional, however, as the player is also able to choose from a variety of other regional daimyo of the time. Nobunaga no Yabou - Shouseiroku is the seventh title in the series, released March 1997 for Windows 95. This game introduces a new map, portraying the entire country on a grid. Doraemon: Nobita to Mittsu no Seireiseki is a 3D platform action game for the Nintendo 64. It was released only in Japan in 1997. The game is based on the Japanese manga Doraemon and has two Nintendo 64 sequels, Doraemon 2: Nobita to Hikari no Shinden and Doraemon 3: Nobita no Machi SOS!, both only released in Japan.

The Unofficial Squaresoft MUD is a free online text-based fan-game, which is based on the worlds and combat systems of various Squaresoft games. UOSSMUD includes a class system based primarily on Final Fantasy Tactics, and worlds based on Chrono Trigger, Secret of Mana, and Final Fantasy 5, 6, and 7. It has a focus on accurately recreating these worlds from the original games and mirroring their storylines in missions.
In addition to the above, UOSSMUD also has smaller amounts of content from a wide variety of Squaresoft and Square Enix games. Standby Say You! is a simulation game where the player takes the role of an up-and-coming voice director. The player character is the apprentice of real-life voice actor and director Shigeru Chiba, and is suddenly thrust into their first leading job as the voice director of a new anime series called "Interrupt Girl" after the original director suddenly leaves the project. In-game, the player interacts with the actors in simple adventure-style sequences, watches clips of tryouts, and gives feedback to each of the actors. The console versions also add several mini-games such as matching voice clips with the correct actor.
