Prelude to Apocalypse (most commonly known as mexx8) was an extensive two-map wizmetal medieval map pack, with tense gameplay. While a little dated or "blocky" by modern standard, used the cutscene engine that first debuted in "Vision of Hatred", this time, the cutscenes have been used in moderation in a way that doesn't break immersion. The fighting system in Tobal 2 is the same as in the previous game. The player can freely navigate 3D fighting arenas under the condition that he or she faces the opponent.
