Part of their "Famicom Game Book Series" was January of 1987's "Metroid: Zebes Invasion Order", written by Nobuyuki Shioda and illustrated by Arisaka Sumi. The game book is a retelling of the original Metroid video game, with an extra adventure taking place as part of an expanded ending sequence.
