GraviTron is a side-scrolling game in the style of Thrust and Lunar Lander. The objective is to navigate a spaceship over different planets, and destroy the reactors located there. The spaceship can rotate clockwise and counterclockwise as well as thrust forward, to avoid the pulling force of gravity. The spaceship can also fire lasers straight ahead and wrap itself in a protective shield which also deflects enemy fire. Points are awarded for the number of enemies destroyed, with higher scores given for using the shield deflection. Additionally, each planet has a number of spacemen walking the surface who can be rescued for extra points. In order to make the rescue, the player simply has to land carefully on a flat, even surface near the spacemen. The objective in this tile matching game is to collect all of the sparkling gems in a level before the time runs out on the ticking pocket watch. The number needed for the level is displayed above the main grid. Swap one stone at a time by choosing a pair, which trade places with a click, slowly eliminating all those which contain gemstones. The entire board can be shuffled twice and hints can be purchased for the cost of points. Their respective routes through the game are slightly different. The game features 2 single-player campaigns, each with 18 levels in 6 different chapters, with 15 different weapons. In the single-player mode players choose either to play as Fletcher or Hawke, or both simultaneously in the cooperative multiplayer mode. There are also other multiplayer modes, such as Death Match or Map Control and players can create their own multiplayer maps with the included level editor.
