The Tamagotchi Connection, or the Tamagotchi Plus is the first modern release of the Tamagotchi virtual pet, debuting in Japan on March 20, 2004 and in North America on August 15, 2004. Kingdom Hearts Tamagotchi is a handheld LCD game, released by Bandai Namco Entertainment in 2022 for Kingdom Hearts’s 20th anniversary. The user begins with Sora who can evolve to different forms and characters based on the type of care received and games played. There are three minigames to play (Gummi Ship, Pink Agaricus, and Coliseum) and throughout the day scenes from the Kingdom Hearts series will play out on screen. He and Mikachu eventually create the Yasashii, a larger, more comfortable home for the Tamagotchi to live in with greater ease of providing care.
