This hack is Green Jerry’s first finished and released Kaizo hack.
It features 7 levels, each one with their own theme, and has only 1 route, so there are no secret exits.
Grand Poo World III is the third and final romhack in Barbarian's Grand Poo World series. The game is a continuation of Grand Poo World II, which is a Super Mario World romhack dedicated to Twitch streamer and YouTuber GrandPooBear.
BNW2 contains a total of 100 rooms across 26 exits, with 13 exits for Any% (no secrets/palaces). Most levels are 5-7 rooms in length.
Just like its predecessor, BNW2 is a showcase of glitches that exist within Super Mario World engine.
Some of these glitches (commonly found in "Kuso" hacks) can be extremely precise and require frame-perfect inputs.
My intent was to make the execution of glitches as simple as possible while still being challenging and fun.
Though the custom ASM & graphics prevent BNW2 from being a completely "vanilla" hack, the glitch tech involved *is* vanilla and can be reproduced in the base game.
This romhack was created to test the player’s skill, patience and reflexes. It presents challenges difficult enough that a standard player may struggle, but indicators throughout are in place to help guide you to the goal. It's difficulty is between kaizo beginner-intermediate and players can expect to beat it within 1-4 hours depending on skillset.
This hack makes use of some more complicated tech that may be unfamiliar to the casual player- blue coins are in place to indicate spin jumps and green coins indicate item throws (usually shells). Color palettes and graphic choices were carefully picked to match the setting and create a tone for each level. Every level’s soundtrack was also carefully selected in an effort to create a satisfying gameplay loop as the player grinds each of the 28 courses. The map is comprised of several different zones strung together to feel like a complete world. Levels do not have a difficulty curve as there are plenty of ‘palette cleansers’ throughout. This design choice was d
Kamikaze is a hack I have been making for a few years that I feel is ready to be finally played by others. I feel it's right at high Kaizo beginner to low intermediate for skill range.
Just a normal standard hack. A bit shorter than the previous games, with this one only having 5 worlds?
Anyway lots of custom stuff in this hack. Music, sprites, graphics and stuff.
Mother: Rebound is a ROM hack for Ape Inc. and HAL Laboratory's game EarthBound (Mother 2 in Japan), with a new story set 3 years after the original! I know what you're thinking: "A complete EarthBound hack released in 2023? That's too good to be true!" But your thoughts are wrong!
A Super Mario Adventure is a choconilla romhack: a romhack that takes the fundamentals of Super Mario World and expands its features. The difficulty level is comparable to the original game.
Mario wants to have a party, when mysteriously his friends disappear. Then Rokko-chan appears and tells him that it's not just them, but that lately people have been disappearing from different places. Mario together with Rokko-chan must solve the mystery and rescue his friends in an 8-world adventure, with bosses from different games.
Super Mario Starlight is a solo project that takes a unique spin on a traditional hack. The game has a hub world that lets you explore and find levels freely, but the stages themselves are linear, like a traditional Mario game. Think Peach's Castle from 64 with about 20ish linear stages instead of open world stages. Yoshi Coins act as the main collectable. The more you collect, the more levels and areas of the hub world you will be able to access.
A remake of New Super Mario World 1: The Twelve Magic Orbs which aims to polish the original hack by improving the level design and giving more replay value.
