Beatmania Append 4thMix: The Beat Goes On was released by KCEJ on September 9th, 1999. This is is the countpart version of the arcade game beatmania 4thMIX. It has a total of 30 songs, 23 from beatmania 4thMIX and 7 from 3rdMIX and completeMIX. Since this is an Append release, it needs another beatmania title to act as a key disc to boot the game. First beatmania APPEND game that uses its own independent memory card slot for save data. Previous beatmania APPEND games, as well as all BONUS EDIT games, use the same memory card slot as beatmania CS / beatmania APPEND YebisuMIX; only one of the aforementioned games can share that slot.Pocket Tuner

The game is played with the Wonderswan held vertically. A scratch attachment is included that you mount on the console to be able to trigger the scratch button more easily. beatmania 4thMIX is a rhythm game developed by Konami. It is the fourth numbered game in the beatmania series (but 5th beatmania arcade game) and is part of the BEMANI franchise. The game is played with a controller with one turn table and 5 keys, three white and two black. On the screen you will see bars moving from the top to bottom in columns representing each of the keys and the turntable. When the bars reach the judgement line it is time to scratch. beatmania 4thMIX is the first big redesign of the series, it features a brand new interface. Difficulty is now on a scale from 1 to 7. All songs have been given a single and double mode chart. Song list shows not only genre and title, but artist as well. Although all previous beatmania songs have been removed. a brand-new set of 23 songs was added as a replacement. The objective is to perform songs using a controller with seven keys and a turntable. Its cabinet contains a widescreen monitor, massive speakers, and eight spotlights. Since this is an Append release, it needs another beatmania title to act as a key disc to boot the game. On the screen you will see bars moving from the top to bottom in columns representing each of the keys and the turntable. When the bars reach the judgement line it is time to scratch. Unlike the arcade counterpart, the Playstation version does not have a combo counter. Expert mode is also missing from this version of the game. The game features all songs from the arcade release except for 4: Beginning of life, DJ BATTLE, jam jam reggae (FUNKY jam Cookie mix), and SKA a go go. The game has a total of 23 songs.Dance! Dance!
