It's a classic, megawad is partially citing the original Doom2, like if it was that same Doom2, but ..would be not the really the same and sometimes totally not the same...
Strain is a 32-level partial conversion for Doom II released in 1997 by the Alpha Dog Alliance. It features nine new or modified monsters through the use of DeHackEd, modified weapons, and a soundtrack written by David "Tolwyn" Shaw, Mark Klem, and Jon Landis. The project had a sporadic development history, exceeding a year due to cyclical interest and disinterest[1].
Doom: Barracks Zone (more commonly called DBZone) is a episode replacement by Tails, Mario and Howie, members of the DOOM Barracks clan and mapping team, primarily comprised of players from Taiwan and Hong Kong. It is meant for ZDoom-based source ports, and contains nine maps primarily aimed towards cooperative multiplayer, but fully playable in single player as well. Development of DBZone started in 2006, with the release of home.wad by Tails, which later evolved into the first map of the episode, DOOM City. The PWAD furthermore has several changes via DeHackEd and DECORATE: many of the vanilla enemies are made to attack or move faster, and a new weapon and monsters are also included.

Welcome back to 2008, everyone! Knee-Deep in Kdizd is here, appearing courtesy of The History Channel. That’s right, it’s 2007’s Knee-Deep in ZDoom, now upgraded for vanilla Doom2.exe.
If you’re not familiar with the original Kdizd, that’s okay! (After all, it has been… wow, 15 years?) You can think of Kdikdizd as a Doom E1 remake with larger maps and a combined focus on atmosphere, exploration, and tougher combat. Kdikdizd is also packed full of weird mapping tricks and some really dumb jokes.
