Al Mazrah, Urzikstan, Ashika Island, Las Almas . . . and now, Vondel.
The waterfront district of a Baroque European city where centuries of old-world history blends with modern architectural developments, Vondel saw a complete evacuation due to an imminent attack threat, right as Operators descended into the darkness of the Al Mazrah Koschei Complex during a fierce sandstorm at the culmination of Season 03.
While Vondel is a brand-new locale for Operators to explore, the ensuing chaos is part of a plan activated by a familiar and infamous masked figure, whose forces are operating in both Al Mazrah and Vondel. Peer through the dust clouds, and you’ll recognize the apparent leader of these unknown forces:
His name is Nikto. And he’s ready to Run This Town.
Call of Dooty II: Green Ops is a five-level jokewad for Doom II and the GZDoom source port by Matthew Christian (Chubzdoomer). It was released on November 13, 2012, and received the Mockaward at that year's Cacowards.
Call of Dooty is a remake of the classic E1M1: Hangar level, parodying contemporary first-person shooters with their features like linear level design, disrupting cutscenes, and regenerating health.
Void is a single-level PWAD by Mike Watson (Cyb). It uses the music tracks "It's Night Forever" by DipA for the title screen, introduction scene, and victory screen, and "Exquisite" by Andreas Viklund through the playable part.
Runaway Train is a single-level PWAD for Doom II and the ZDoom source port that was released in February 2001. It was designed by Nigel Rowand (Enjay) and uses the music track "Les Chants Magnétiques Part 2" by Jean-Michel Jarre, sequenced to MIDI.
Apart from a brief introductory scene at a train station, the entire map is set on a moving train which is on a collision course and going to crash in three minutes, giving the player limited time to get a key from one end of the train and return.
Doomsday of UAC (commonly known by its filename UAC_DEAD) is a single-level PWAD designed by Leo Martin Lim. As part of their 10 Years of Doom feature, Doomworld named it one of the ten best WADs of 1994.
One of the first ever fan-made Doom mods, UAC_DEAD features an attempt at creating realistic-looking vehicles and environments. It contains a replacement sky graphic, and uses careful flat and texture choices in places to simulate colored lighting. It also includes the first known instance of the self-referencing sectors trick, used to create invisible stairs.
It features almost of all the major enemies you've fought back in Black Mesa, including Headcrabs, Bullsquid, HECU grunts, all return to screw your day up!
This WAD tells the true story of what REALLY happened in the recent episode at the NewDooM forums. My sources are infallible, so don't even try to dismiss any of this as false, because it is the cold, hard truth and it will hit you like a speeding bus in the middle of a rainy night. It's that powerful.
It's a small, underdetailed map about the dream of a newbie. Work your way up the ladder to become ruler of Doomworld! It's a DOOM map centered around comedy, just in case you're a bit slow.
