Based on the BFG Edition, this release features enhanced graphics, better audio with more horror effects, a checkpoint save system, and support for 3D displays and HMDs. The game also includes the previous expansion Resurrection of Evil and a new single-player expansion pack called The Lost Mission. However, things like multiplayer and the inclusion of Ultimate Doom and Doom II have been removed.
Doom Classic is a sci-fi first-person shooter game developed by id Software and Nerve Software and published by Bethesda Softworks. It is an updated version of the original 1993 Doom that uses the Unity engine as a shell for the id Tech 1 engine.
This game, as well as Doom II Classic, was initially released in a suite of classic Doom ports for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android, however, the ports were initially heavily criticized due to its poor quality and inaccuracies compared to the previous console generation ports while implementing an always-online DRM that required the player to sign into a Bethesda.net account (meant to unlock Slayers Club rewards) to play the game, despite these ports not having any online multiplayer features.
After the initial criticism of the ports, Nerve Software eventually rectified the issues of the log-in requirements and problems with the ports through patches. A PC version of Doom Classic was released through Bethesda.net on January 9, 2020, which was la

Where necessary for compilation purposes, maps and resources have been tweaked or altered. "Shooters are brown", I hear.
Well, maybe since Quake they are, but Doom is actually a pretty colourful game.
Just to prove it, here is a new episode for Ultimate Doom, using only standard textures and flats, and nary a hint of brown.
SPECTRUM is an Ultimate Doom (complevel 3) episode for limit removing ports. In this exciting Oculus exclusive, the enemy will stop at nothing to gain an advantage. To defeat them, you and your team of elite operatives must use every advanced weapon, cutting-edge technology, and deceptive tactic in your arsenal.
Remember, the fate of every mission will be guided by your choices, big and small. Because even when you think you’ve seen it all, the next mission will test your will like nothing before."
The basic ideas of this map are infernalism in design and the general non-linearity in gameplay. I have never tried to widely disclose them in my maps and wanted to practice. In some places everything turned out as I had planned, in some places very average. Nevertheless, I am pleased with the final result. As an experiment, I added coop-starts, but cooperative was not tested at all. The difficulty is above medium, but you can choose from HMP and UV.
The map is very long (about one and a half hours), so it will be tiring to go through in single try. The player is faced with the task of finding 6 yellow keys scattered across map locations. The keys must be placed on pedestals in a separate huge room, which can be reached via a teleport in the center of the map (where the hammer is). I think this should help you not to despair if you get lost.
