MS-DOS game released in 1992 by Richard Carr. First game to use the principle of "Capture The Flag." It is a strategy game, where two teams try to capture the other's flag before the other team captures theirs. The game takes place on a large field, with various types of terrain. You control one of the teams; the other team can be either controlled by the computer, or by another human player.
In 1991 an expansion set (for computers only) was released that changed the setting from the conquest of a medieval kingdom, to World War I. The gameplay was still essentially the same, but with more ranged weapons and war-machines.
In the game Wild West World, you must build an economic empire during the Wild West. Buy farms and ranches and try and drive your competition out of business by whatever means possible.
The computer game version GMT Games' boardgame SPQR (Senātus Populusque Rōmānus) and several SPQR scenario packs. It is a turn-based tactical wargame that includes eleven battles of the Second Punic War pitting Rome versus Carthage.
