Decathlete, released in Europe as Athlete Kings, is an athletics themed arcade game. Released in 1994, it was developed and produced by Sega. A well-received home port was released on the Sega Saturn in 1995, scoring mainly positive reviews for its arcade faithful conversion, due to the similar hardware of the ST-V arcade and the Saturn. It was released on the PlayStation 2 in Japan only as part of the Sega Ages 2500 series. Compared to other decathlon based games, Decathlete has a more comic and cartoon like style. In Mark Davis' The Fishing Master, the player can take control of fishing legend Mark Davis and fish in five different lakes and even compete in a fishing tournament to win a trophy. The gameplay is reminiscent of Super Black Bass. The player picks a location to fish using an overhead map where the player is then taken to a behind the person perspective to cast their reel. The video game features teams from the Japanese high schools from the islands in addition to the mainland. One of the more notable players in the game is Shunsuke Nakamura who played for Tōkō Gakuen High School. The game has some similarities with Hat Trick Hero, Aoki Densetsu Shoot! or any other soccer game with the left-right perspective, and Top Striker or Libero Grande because of the ability to play as just one player, instead of controlling the whole team. This feature would serve as a model for the "career mode" provided in most modern EA Sports games. There were many other improvements over the two original versions. One of the most important being the availability of creating and customizing an own character/football player and training with the instructor before each match, among other options.
