Judith Volltone is living alone in the alchemy shop that she inherited from her parents. She specializes in making medication, and often takes requests from villagers to make a living.
One day, an adventurer requests her to create an item called the "Hourglass of the Dragon", which has the abilities to travel in time. While synthesizing it, a piece of Judith's hair falls down into the cauldron, and Judith suddenly finds herself 200 years into the future.
On a peninsula to the south west of the continent Gramnad, there is the Kingdom of Kanalland. Here, there is a small and underpopulated village by the name Karotte Village. The main protagnoist Violet lives there with her family, although her parents are leaving Karotte Village. Violet, however, refuses to leave. Violet is very confident about her idea to open up a shop in town, even though her father doesn't support her idea. Their parents will return in three years, and see how the siblings are doing. Until then, Violet will need to prove that she can run her own shop.

Being a non-linear role-playing game, the quests can be done in any order although some of them have prerequisites. Most are completely optional, but change the ending. The quests can be abandoned and returned at will.
The game features a time system and the characters are actually aging, though their statistics stay the same. This system is also used for money loans, as you will receive penalties when you don't pay back before the end of the year.
This rare game, never released outside of Japan, combines the original Wizardry trilogy into one game, updating the graphics and music from the Famicom and PC originals. Players who complete a chapter can transfer their party to to the next chapter.
