Dirt 2 is quite different to the main version for the more powerful consoles and PC. It has its own selection of modes and, maybe most importantly, the trademark rallye roots of the series are completely gone. Because it was developed separately, there are also some other major gameplay differences regarding car handling, AI behaviour and available features (e.g. no rewind, no money mechanics during career mode and no tuning).
The career mode is a linear selection of races (circuit or offroad). Besides unlocking the next events to participate in, proceeding through the courses also automatically unlocks various rewards like new cars, paintworks or difficulty options. The two other available modes are the action mode (single races, time races and championships) and the challenge mode with 20 challenges divided into five categories: air time (using ramps to accumulate air time), trailblazer (circuit races against time), gatecrasher (checkpoint races), powerslides (performing long slides) and last man standing.
The mobile version of DiRT is a racing game played from a behind view. It contains a career mode as well as a rally world section which consists of quick races, challenges and exhibitions. The main part of the game is the career mode where the player if successful unlocks new cars to be used in the rally world section. The career mode involves completing tracks in successive order. Each track involves competing against three opposing drivers in a best of three laps race. By winning the race a new track and a new car is unlocked.
This pseudo-3D sports car driving game has you racing the clock to complete 4 laps around each track. Like OutRun and other classics that inspired it, you just have a basic accelerator, brake, and low-to-high shifting at your disposal. Round those corners fast!
Polestar offers 2 courses, each with 4 stages. There's also a time attack mode for playing each stage individually, so that you can practice one at a time or simply go for the fastest times.

The mobile version of the console Colin McRae Rally 2005 game, the J2ME version contains tracks in 4 countries with 3 stages for each track. Damage taken can be repaired between stages, but you've got a limited amount of time you can spend in the service area each time so you may not be able to repair everything if you take too much damage. The game includes various modes of play (including an option to race against a ghost of a previous lap), and weather effects on some of the tracks.
This mobile version of Colin McRae Rally 04 is a racing game played from a birds view perspective. It contains five stages that are unlocked by finishing first in each race. There are three cars which are unlocked by winning complete rallies. Between the races the car can be set up and enhanced by spending points in three categories: handling, acceleration and top speed. If the car takes damage from collisions during the race it can be repaired at the end of a stage. The game uses simple controls that are limited to accelerating, reversing and steering left and right.
