The game was advertised as featuring eight games: seven short subsections with the same basic gameplay, and two minigames. Kirby Super Star sees players take on the role of Kirby, who can float around the screen, inhale blocks and enemies and spit them out. By swallowing certain enemies after inhaling them, Kirby can copy their abilities and use them as his own, becoming able to perform a wide range of attacks. A unique feature of the game is the addition of helpers. Mujintou Monogatari 3: A.D.1999 Tokyo is similar in concept to the two previous entries in the series, being a "survival life" simulation game. However, its setting is quite different: rather than getting stranded on a deserted tropical island, the protagonist travels in subway when a terrible earthquake occurs. Climbing out of the underground tunnels, the hero discovers, to his horror, that Tokyo has been nearly destroyed and deserted. Teaming up with other survivors, the protagonist has to explore the ruins and stay alive. The basic gameplay is similar to that of the two predecessors: the player manages parties of survivors, assigning activities to them (exploring, resting, finding items, etc.), then completing the day and watching these events unfold automatically. World Advanced Daisenryaku: Sakusen File is an entry in the Daisenryaku series with the campaign focusing on the eastern front during World War II. The game uses hexagonal grid over the battlefield map similar to that in the original Panzer General game. Available gameplay modes include standard mode and campaign mode. In standard mode the player can choose and play any map in single player or multiplayer and available selection of units is preset. In campaign mode, the player can go through Soviet story campaign which follows the actual historical events of WWII, or Cenozoic virtual campaign where any of the five available forces, namely US, British, Soviet, German, or Japanese, can be selected. As its name suggests, it was made to teach second grade students. It was replaced by JumpStart Advanced 2nd Grade in 2002. Like the previous JumpStart products, the game takes place in a school setting, but begins after school hours when a giant anthropomorphic frog named C.J. enters the classroom and frees a firefly named Edison. C.J. and Edison (Newton in the United Kingdom) form a double act of sorts with C.J. being an ardent, self-styled "adventurer" while Edison is the more pragmatic straight man, who frequently makes sardonic comments in response to C.J.'s grandiosity.
