Broken Covenant
In the year 2006, Climax LA started working on yet another tentative Silent Hill title exclusively for the PlayStation 3 using the Unreal 3 engine. After the project was declined by Konami it was converted into a stand-alone survival-horror title Broken Covenant. The game was supposed to take place in the American Soutwest where Alessa's powers and corruption began to spread outside of Silent Hill. A splinter group of Silent Hill cult relocated its operations to an abandoned military base just outside Coyote Flats, Arizona continuing pursuing their main goal of conjuring Samael. Players would assume the role of Father Hector Santos, an El Paso, Texas priest in desperate search of his nine-year-old niece, Anna who has been handed over to the Cult as a conduit for demonic rituals as they believe she might be the next Alessa. Broken Covenant was supposed to be published in episodic format. After it failed to seek any interest from other publishers it was shelved for good. Basic game modes are the Story Mode that follows the manga's plot according to the main characters point of view. The Time Attack Mode is based on time trials, and the Free Run Mode allows the user to drive the Shuto Expressway selecting his starting points without racing, and can drive anywhere on the Shuto Expressway. The One Match Mode is made for head-to-head quick games against the characters. Wangan Connection is the online game mode that allows people to create, host and join online games with up to three other players. Through the game's progression, the user can unlock two extra game modes, Survival Mode and Maximum Speed Mode. Survival Mode puts the player up against characters from the series. The goal is to beat a designated amount of rivals without losing. If the player loses, the game is over. Survival Mode is divided into three classes. Rookie has 20 rivals, and runs on the C1. Runner has 50 rivals, and runs on the New Belt Line. Monster has 99 rivals, and runs on the Wangan, part of the New Belt LinSingStar Grandes Exitos
SingStar: Grandes Exitos is a karaoke exclusively released in Spain. It includes songs by Spanish artists without a limitation in genre or time period. There are no changes to the gameplay formula: player(s) sing into a microphone and the game gives points based on the performance.
