NCAA FINAL FOUR '99 offers three gameplay modes: Exhibition, Tournament, and a 30-game Season. The rules can be configured to your preferences, whether it's arcade or simulation. This affects which fouls get called and determines whether or not your players feel the effects of fatigue. You can also choose from a variety of controller configurations, difficulty settings, game lengths, and camera angles to alter the game. In the same vein of gameplay as Tempest 2000, iS: internal section is a tube shooter, a type of shoot 'em up where the player controls a ship "looking down" a long tunnel or tube, and the player can move around inside the cylinder, shooting enemies that it runs into while moving. It is an experimental project that responds to its 16 built-in tracks, or even your own music from a CD.
Kaitouranma Miyabi takes place in Japan during Edo period and takes course of a single year where the player is a student in a martial arts school. The game is a mix of visual novel style gameplay during dialogues and third-person perspective during training and fighting. During first-person perspective, the gameplay follows a typical static 2D anime character sprites over detailed graphical background art with smaller window showing current expression and disposition of a character talking. While the protagonist has no voice-acting, other character feature full voice-acting during dialogues. Training sequence consists of various actions that will boost player's skills and is displayed in isometric view from bird's perspective, while dueling is done from side view where player's skills and training it taken into consideration when performing various fencing moves. There are also several mini-games that become available as the story progresses.
