Bumshak is a small modification about the titular orc, Bumshak, who climbs the ranks of the orcs. The entire mod takes place after the Nameless Hero sets out for Halls of Irdorath, across the Valley of Mines. The original lore of the story revolves primarily around news of the orcs' attack on the paladin's castle and their occupation of the entire island of Khorinis. The mod was created by three people (Frank Wedler) and quickly saw the light of day. The stat system has been removed - you don't gain experience points or level advancement, but you do get new equipment and healing potions. The entire mod has five chapters, and even after completing it, you can continue playing, exploring the Valley of Mines and talking to other orcs. Battle of the Kings is best described as a blend of role-playing game, real-time strategy game, and management simulation. The mod features two factions: a Red and a Blue faction. At the start of the game, players can choose their preferred faction, guild, difficulty level, and map. Soldiers from both factions automatically attack the enemy faction at regular intervals after the game begins. The primary objective of both factions is to defeat the enemy king with their own soldiers. Players can upgrade their soldiers, crafting better weapons and armor, or recruit mages to support their troops and increase their gold income. Players do not actively participate in combat. They can move their character around the world as a passive observer, unable to deal damage or be attacked. Although the mod is relatively simple, it offers numerous ways to win or lose. Return of Reckoning is the fan-made continuation of Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning. A small group of players started recording as much information from the last few weeks of the official servers being online with the hope that one day they would be able to play again. Shortly after the servers shut down work began on rewriting the server code with the goal of bringing Warhammer Online back online. Every monster in the world had to be replaced, every quest had to be restored and gaps in archives filled in. Every public quest, dungeon boss, game mechanic had to be coded and scripted again.
