Most of the games have different variations of them that you can choose from. Up to four players can participate simultaneously, and all games are controlled by mimicking the real life movements with the Wii Remote. There is also a tournament mode where you can have up to 16 players compete. There are 10 players to choose from along with customizable characters.

The game is described by GameSpot as a "glimpse into how the Japanese view American football". It alters the rules, adds in Japanese styled Manga characters, and is overall one of the strangest football games ever released. The game stars Sena Kobayakawa, a small person who is great at playing American football.

It's released to coincide the series Ultra Galaxy Mega Monster Battle: Never Ending Odyssey. This game is succeeded by Mega Monster Battle: Ultra Coliseum DX: The Gathering of The Ultra Heroes!
