The LCD is not backlit, and is hard to see without proper light. It is slightly hard to control since the directional pad is separated into two different sections, making the game hard to figure out without instructions. Sonic must navigate through 12 maze-like levels.

This is one of the games that wasn't included in the US promotion. The object of the game is to shoot down enemies which come along using the turret on Tails plane, the Tornado. If 15 are destroyed the level will advance by one. If 5 ships pass by the player the game will end.

    Knuckles Baseball is an LCD game created for distribution at McDonald's restaurants. They were offered as a part of Happy Meals for a limited time in 2004. Strangely this game seems to have not been released in all regions of the world and a totally different Knuckles themed game was released elsewhere. The objective of the game is to catch baseballs thrown by Sonic. This is done by pressing the button at the correct time after the ball is thrown. If ten are caught the game will advance by 1 level and the speed of the game will increase.

This game was repackaged and released as Shadow Basketball. Omega is also featured on the cover. The objective of the game is to move left or right to an area where there is no defender or where a defender is in a unguarded position. When in this position press the right button to score a point. After scoring enough points the level will advance but if your player is blocked enough times the game will end.

This game was also repackaged and sold under the name Amy & Rouge Volleyball, with a different background behind the LCD screen. There is a directional pad which includes left and right directions and a single button. The background seems to be that of a tennis court. The object of the game is to hit a ball back at an opponent on the end of the screen using the 1 button. If the opponent misses the ball the score tally goes up. If you miss the ball, then the opponent's score tally will go up instead.

There is a single button on the game which allows the player to jump. This was used to jump over blocks. No directional pad was needed as Sonic moved automatically. The game stars Sonic who must run automatically through Green Hill Zone levels. The jump button is used to navigate obstacles and jump on platforms to earn points. After scoring 20 points, the speed and level both increase. There is a total of 4 levels. If the player crashes into platforms five times in a single level, the game ends.

    Knuckles Soccer is an LCD game created for distribution at McDonald's restaurants. They were offered as a part of Happy Meals for a limited time in 2003. There are two buttons on the game. McDonald's later released a similar Tails Soccer which uses Tails instead of Knuckles. The objective of the game is to make Knuckles intercept the ball which are kicked down the screen by Eggman. Knuckles must protect the goal which is directly behind him. The ball can move erratically on screen at times so it's best to keep a close eye on the ball. Catching the ball 10 times will increase the level and speed. There are a total of five levels. If the ball is missed five times in a single level the game will end.

    Shadow Grinder is an LCD game created for distribution at McDonald's restaurants. They were offered as a part of Happy Meals for a limited time in 2003. There is a single button on the game which allows the player to jump. The objective of the game was to grind down the rails with Shadow, avoiding gaps by pressing the jump button. No directional pad was needed as Shadow moved automatically. After clearing 15 gaps the level and speed increase. Four levels is the maximum amount of levels. If the player falls into gaps 10 times in a single level the game ends.

    Sonic Speedway is an LCD game created for distribution at McDonald's restaurants. They were offered as a part of Happy Meals for a limited time in 2003. There are two main buttons on the game which control left and right movement. Sonic controls a F-1 racecar and must navigate through a race course filled with other drivers. There are three lanes that can be moved about with one lane always left open. The other lanes are occupied by other vehicles. For each row of vehicles avoided a point is added to the score. For every 30 points the level and speed increase with 4 levels total. If the player crashes 5 times in a single level the game ends.
