The Pokéwalker is a pedometer device specifically for use with Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver that is able to interact with the games in various manners. It is based on the arcade game, Pengo. It should not be confused with an earlier "port" by Bandai.
The Hexagontchi is a secondary version of the Tamagotchi Plus Color. Released in July 2009, it has extra features, including a bonus hexagon room style and new minigames. It is based on a Japanese quiz show named Quiz Hexagon.

The Tamagotchi starts off with an instrument, toy, and some money. At the child stage, the Tamagotchi goes to preschool and receives a new toy. At the teen stage, they go to the Gotchi Performing Arts School and join a band with two other characters. The new band is taught by Classictchi until the band members reach adulthood. As adults, they perform in front of a panel of judges. If any judge votes "no", the band can only do street performances until their next attempt. If the judges all vote "yes", the band debuts as a professional band.

The Japanese edition was released on March 29, 2008, while the English edition was released in September 2008 in North America.
