An Atari Jaguar CD homebrew game that is heavily inspired by Konami's arcade game Time Pilot. Kobayashi Maru is a 50/60 fps rotary action shooter for the Atari Jaguar games console and was written utilising a version of RAPTOR API by Reboot. It can be played with either a rotary controller (such as Chaos Reins, Tyrant or Jonathan Ascough pad) or a regular Jaguar joypad. Xu’s United Nations Tetrad are under simultaneous attack from The Ebil Alliance. All that stands between TEA and the XUNTS is you and your warpships. You are the only officer capable of piloting these ships and are therefore the last hope of all XUNT-kind. As your prototype warpships do not come fitted with stabilising or reverse thrusters, your ship tears around the upper atmosphere with regular engines at full output. Your task is to steer the warpship, avoid collisions and kill the attacking drones. Once the required number of drones have been dispatched, their mothership will arrive and attempt to seek revenge. Quentin McCloud must rescue clan members during a journey across his world in this game for the Jaguar CD. Quentin is portrayed in 3D, as are his enemies, but most of his world is in 2D (much like Alone in the Dark and Resident Evil). Unfortunately, the 3D polygon construction of the characters is hideous, though the backgrounds and cut scenes are well done. The first-person control scheme has promise, but suffers from multiple problems. If Quentin is attacked from behind, by the time he pivots, he's usually dead. Highlander is a mediocre game deserving of consideration from Highlander fans but, even considering the scarcity of Jaguar CD titles, probably best left alone by others.Hover Strike: Unconquered Lands

Earlier cartridge games, like Super Burnout and Checkered Flag were received with mixed reviews, which created some excitement for the release of WTR. Gameplay includes customizable cars, seven different racing views, and surprisingly intelligent AI. World Tour Racing also features a damage system -- too many mid-race collisions will force drivers to the pits.
