Deep inside the Lost Woods lies a mysterious Stronghold, inhabited by lost travellers. As Link enters this place, he is greeted by Shiba, the protector of the fortress. He places the task of conquering the 3 Trials upon Link. He needs to meet new people and explore each corner of the Stronghold to be prepared, but will he be able to conquer them all and eventually reach the Ultimate Trial ?
Originally made for the "SimpleFlips' Slide Hack Competition (2024)", "Super Mario and the Treacherous Tower" is a Rom Hack by MrComit the creator of "Super Mario and the Monstrous Manor".
In this Hack, Mario is tasked by Princess Peach to investigate a haunted tower in the middle of nowhere, which is the source for paranormal activities in the Mushroom Kingdom.
Now, Mario has to slide down each floor of the tower to track down the paranormal activity.
This hacks aims to recreate and reimagine vanilla SM64 levels from memory and remove stupid stars that I never liked in the original.
That said, some levels will be similar to vanilla while others will feel like fully new levels, because of how bad the originals were e.g. Course 15.
If you desire new stuff, the endgame close to 150 stars is filled with new original stages just like SM64DS had new levels.
Mario has made some new spectacular friends, who are these fellas? Well, they're the Royal Scuttlebug family. They are on a trip to the famous Hazy Maze Isles to see the new wonder: a Rocket! Ready for its first flight to new adventures! Our plumber and his new friends will make it there safely, right?
Venture into the depths of the Gravity Machine and test your sliding skills in this 5-star Mario 64 hack! Made for Simpleflips' Slide Hack Competition (2024)
