RayStorm is a shoot'em-up game created for the arcades, later ported to the Playstation and Saturn home consoles. Although there is no story connection, it is often thought of as the spiritual successor to RayForce, which had similar gameplay. You have 2 weapons at you disposal, a vulcan gun and a lock-on missile attack. You can also do 2 special attacks by using the lock-on system in a special way. Magical School LUNAR! is technically a remake, but it's practically its own independent story. MSL featured completely re-done graphics from top-to-bottom, several new characters, full animation sequences and voice, and so many storyline changes that it's effectively a different game. Like its predecessor, the story takes place approximately 300 years before the events of Lunar: The Silver Star. It follows Elie (Ellie), Rena (Lena), and Senia, three girls recruited for the Magic School of Ien, an elite magic school on an island that moves around on the ocean. Along the way they find friends, like the shy Wyn (Wing) and overconfident Blade. They find rivals, like the bratty trio of Ant, Rick, and Kule. And they find enemies, like the ominous Memphis and Barua, and the mysterious castle known as "D". The year is 2008 as researchers from T University discover a crystal statue in the ruins of an Aztec civilization along with a series of characters. When decoded by a computer, these characters invoke the revival of a demon and an outbreak of demons within cyberspace. At the start of the game in August, the protagonist, Asuka Miroku and his younger brother, Satoshi Miroku, are attending an exhibition of the Aztec culture at the Tokyo National Museum with two of Asuka's old friends from school, Keita Matsumoto and Sakurako Saotome.
