Sonic 1 Beta Remake is a Sonic 1 hack created by Mistergambit. The hack has all of the Sonic 1 levels redesigned to look like their prototype counterparts, as seen in various magazine screen shots. This hack also has new objects, such as a functioning Splats, the checkered ball that was scrapped from GHZ, and more. To make it seem more like a genuine prototype, some levels are made to look unfinished.
Sonic 2 Community´s Cut is a combined mod of Sonic 2 and the Genesis Plus GX emulator which adds widescreen, S2 2013 enhancements, and more.

Sonic 2: Pink Edition is a modification of Sonic 2 that replaces Sonic & Tails with Amy and Cream as playable characters, Amy's sprite being based off her modern design.
The changes aren't just to the asthetics though, Amy and cream bring their own movesets to the table!
Amy bringing her trusty Piko Piko Hammer to swing, jump, whirl and dash through Robotnik's obstacles.
Cream bringing the spindash and ability to fly, oh! don't forget about her trusty Chao, Cheese who can attack enemies, even bosses, from a distance!
Several newer Pac-Man handheld releases (from the late 2010s onward) feature an original port of the game running on “Firecore” Genesis clone hardware. This port is credited to Piko Interactive in its ROM header, and was reportedly developed by Shiru. The game seems to have considerable slowdown if running on standard Genesis hardware.
The port features three video modes, one of which has the screen rotated on its side (creating an arcade-perfect pixel layout). Different consoles will utilize one of the three modes depending on its form factor.
Have you ever wanted to play through Sonic 2 without being able to run and jump? Do you want to watch helplessly as our hedgehog friend rolls backwards down the same slope for the fifth time in a row? Do you want to experience the fear and frustration of Chemical Plant Zone Act 2's rising water section as though you were playing it for the very first time? Well, my friend, look no further than SNOLF: The Sonic Golf Experience!
This romhack replaces Sonic's ability to move with a golf-game mechanic, similar to the kind of thing found in games like Kirby's Dream Course. Sonic remains rolled up into a ball under most conditions, and can only be launched when he has come to a stop. The Rings counter instead counts how many shots you have taken, allowing players to compete to get the lowest score!
Sonic 1, except you are constantly being trolled. A funny sonic hack with a lot of trolling going on.
Sonic in Troll Island is a Sonic 1 hack, which main focus is to be a very fun and entertaining game for those who will play, with some pretty funny stuff at the levels and with a great soundtrack too!
This is a ROM hack of Sonic the Hedgehog for the Sega Mega Drive, that features Ray the Flying Squirrel, who takes the place of Sonic the Hedgehog.
Unlike Fabricechaotix' 2007 version of Ray the Flying Squirrel in Sonic the Hedgehog, which only had SegaSonic the Hedgehog to reference, this one used Sonic Mania Plus as a reference, and also pulled assets from it, such as art.
