This time, a total of 50 types of Mamegoma, including 10 new ones, will appear, and you can raise up to 8 Mamegoma at the same time in the spacious "Clover Square". When the player gives a signal, the Mamegoma will gather and show cute reactions such as eating, singing, and playing. In addition, Ojamamedori & Funchama, original game characters drawn by the original author, Mayumi Yonemura, will appear for the first time. If Mamegoma accidentally touches it, it will either laugh or cry and stop growing. There are 18 types of crops that can be grown, including green soybeans, sweet potatoes, strawberries, and bananas. If you take good care of it and harvest it every day, Mamegoma will happily eat it.

In 1993, Metal Max 2 was published by Data East, who retained the trademark rights to series until its closure in 2003 and the liquidation of its intellectual properties in 2004. In April 2009, Enterbrain (Kadokawa's subsidiary) obtained the rights and published Metal Max 3 the next year. It is the first numbered entry in the series in 17 years. A remade version in DS of Metal Max 2 was published in 2011, and used Metal Max 3's engine.
