Two years after returning from an expedition in Africa, Lord Munroe is still being absent from public life. You are the famous sleuth Basil Byron and your task is to find the whereabouts of the missing adventurer.
The game has no real narrative. The introduction simply places the player in the role of an unnamed explorer who must delve into a subterranean labyrinth to locate 11 hidden treasures and return them to the surface.
It's time to go down your local alley and have a game of bowling. The game is viewed from behind your bowler at a slight elevated angle. Before you bowl you can move your bowler left or right to get the perfect position. There is an option to choose which angle to bowl by pressing the + or - key and also which hand you want by pressing R or L. To bowl the ball when you are happy, you move the joystick forward and press the fire button to release the ball. You can't release the ball while not running. Don't go forward too far or it's a foul. The usual scoring is worked out by the computer. Here's to scoring 300.
Gyropod is a one or two player shooter for the Commodore 64. The player controls a space ship, the Galaxy Ranger. The ship's mission is to locate and eradicate every planet in an alien system. These planets are defended by waves of fanatical defenders who must be overcome.
You are a private detective and you have been asked to rescue the daughter of a millionaire and your investigation has brought you to a complex of ten tower blocks. Gumshoe is a platform game where a small part of the block is shown and the screen scrolls when you move in all directions. You have to navigate the various floors of the block to find the girl using ladders, escalators which change direction every few seconds and elevators that move up and down various levels but can't be shot from. There are also rubbish chutes and when entered they transport you to another part of the block.
