BNW2 contains a total of 100 rooms across 26 exits, with 13 exits for Any% (no secrets/palaces). Most levels are 5-7 rooms in length. Just like its predecessor, BNW2 is a showcase of glitches that exist within Super Mario World engine. Some of these glitches (commonly found in "Kuso" hacks) can be extremely precise and require frame-perfect inputs. My intent was to make the execution of glitches as simple as possible while still being challenging and fun. Though the custom ASM & graphics prevent BNW2 from being a completely "vanilla" hack, the glitch tech involved *is* vanilla and can be reproduced in the base game.Gears Forever

This romhack was created to test the player’s skill, patience and reflexes. It presents challenges difficult enough that a standard player may struggle, but indicators throughout are in place to help guide you to the goal. It's difficulty is between kaizo beginner-intermediate and players can expect to beat it within 1-4 hours depending on skillset. This hack makes use of some more complicated tech that may be unfamiliar to the casual player- blue coins are in place to indicate spin jumps and green coins indicate item throws (usually shells). Color palettes and graphic choices were carefully picked to match the setting and create a tone for each level. Every level’s soundtrack was also carefully selected in an effort to create a satisfying gameplay loop as the player grinds each of the 28 courses. The map is comprised of several different zones strung together to feel like a complete world. Levels do not have a difficulty curve as there are plenty of ‘palette cleansers’ throughout.
