Developed in the Czech Republic by Lord Games, Ravenholm is a single-player Half-Life 2 modification based around the terrifying atmosphere, visuals and gameplay from the Half-Life 2 chapter of the same name. With a different and greatly expanded story and many new locations, you will find yourself battling many more zombies, headcrabs and more in a bid to free the town from this horrific, nightmarish infestation.
The atmosphere in the original HL2 game was both interesting, and terrefying, and that is the driving force behind our choice on creating a modifacation on that enviroment alone. All maps from this modifacation have a very similar kind of feel of atmosphere and gameplay from the original Ravenholm, but with an different and expanded story, and many new locations. So, you will find yourself battleing many more Zombies, Headcrabs, and more.
The sequel to the story after John (our player) escapes from Ravenholm goes on to Eye of the Storm.
One would never believe that something as extraordinary as this could happen to oneself, but fate had an unusual twist in store for me. Yesterday, as the dark storm clouds gathered ominously in the sky, a bolt of lightning, like a celestial spear, found its target, and that target was me. The force of nature's wrath struck me with a ferocity that defied reason. Incredibly, I did not succumb to death's cold embrace, nor did I bear any visible wounds. It was as if the universe had chosen me for a different fate, one that would lead me to a realm beyond imagination.

UV players should expect to have their skills tested on all fronts: combat, movement, resource management, and navigation. Beware of resource starvation, combat puzzles, and general meanness. The first canonical mod in the Half-Rats series! August, 1999. You're a fresh college grad passing the time in your parents' rural retreat before the tourist season picks up and your first job as "Junior Researcher" at a nearby wildlife-themed resort begins. Located on the outskirts of the run down backwater town called Redridge, the crickets and your empty beer bottles are your only companions. Half-Rats: A Fever Dream is a Half-life game mod that was released for halloween, 2015.
Somewhere in America, a mere decade before The Gay '90s. Half-Rats, a alcoholic, poor man, is woken up by his landlord and some loud noise coming from outside. After getting his revolver and a sword he and his landlord quickly learns that Hell, figuratively and literally, is on earth.
The first in the "Half-Rats" series. The game begins at the general store where you and Mr. Trask, your landlord and shop-keep must make a stand against a great horror whose origins will only be revealed at the close of this story. Though it is a general store, that does not mean it boasts unlimited resources...supplies and manpower will begin to run thin - and you'll need to face hell to go out and gather them. You may end up meeting a fresh face or two during the night's journey - try and keep them alive and kicking, yeah? Some of them could become great assets.
Umbra is a big, nonlinear map with a narrative underpinning it. That narrative involves, among other things, gay girls. Gameplay ranges from low-tier-enemy-heavy slaughter and microslaughter to: small-scale traps, light incidental combat, parkour/platforming, quiet exploration and secret-hunting (often there's some mix of a couple of those). UV can get quite hard. Play on HNTR or HMP unless you know you want that.
