Timed with the popularity of the mid-1990s X-Men animated series, the game incorporates voice actors from the show reprising their respective roles. The gameplay involves one-on-one fighting matches, where players face off against different characters in the game. The ultimate challenge comes in the form of battles against Juggernaut and Magneto.

Project Justice is the sequel to Rival Schools: United By Fate.
Project Justice's fighting system is lifted from the original Rival Schools, with some notable changes. The game continues to be a team fighter, but has teams of three characters instead of two. This allows another Team-Up attack to be used in a fight, but also adds a new type of attack, the Party-Up, initiated by pressing any three attack buttons. The Party-Up is a three-person attack that varies based on what school the character initiating the attack is from.
The additional partner also allows players to cancel an opponent's Team-Up Special by inputting a Team-Up command of their own. This initiates a short fighting sequence between one character from each team. If the person initiating the sequence gets the first successful hit in during the sequence before time runs out, the Team-Up they are caught in will be canceled, and the game switches back to the main fight; if the opposing player gets the first hit or time runs out, the Team-Up continues

Street Fighter Alpha 3 MAX is a near-faithful port of the arcade version with minimal loading times and all frames and sprites intact. All the additional characters from the GBA version as well as Ingrid from Capcom Fighting Evolution are present. The added characters now feature their own in-game storylines and endings. The Dramatic Battle mode in this version is the only one where both the player and partner characters can be selected individually, allowing for any character pairing. It also includes the Reverse Dramatic Battle mode from the Saturn version and an exclusive tag mode called Variable Battle.

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure is the console version of 1998 Arcade game of the same title. Two console versions were produced. The 1999 PlayStation version is based on JoJo's Venture, but features the additional characters from the second version of the arcade game and an exclusive "Super Story Mode", which covers the entire Stardust Crusaders story arc. The Dreamcast version, also released in 1999, features both the original and revised versions of the arcade game in their original forms.
The twelfth installment of the famous fighting game series, The King of Fighters XII, is a massive reinvention of the franchise rebuilt from the ground up both technically and visually to celebrate the series' 15th anniversary. The game features a streamlined battle system and all-new high-resolution character sprites and backgrounds. Battles are the 3-vs-3 matches that KOF is known for, though the tag system from the previous game has been removed. The game features a total of 22 fighters, two of which are exclusive to the home release, and all of whom are returning combatants from previous titles. Included are a five-round arcade "time attack" mode, online and local versus, practice and replay modes, and an unlockable art gallery.
Based on MTV's claymation animation show Celebrity Deathmatch. You play a series of wrestling matches, much in the style of other wrestling games. The twist being, that you play one of various celebrities, such as Marilyn Manson and Carmen Electra. Various weapons appear in the ring during play, such as a chainsaw and crossbow. The game is set out in 6 "episodes" of 3 matches each, and you can play either of the celebrities in each match.
Godzilla: Unleashed is a fighting game featuring 23 of the classic Toho monsters from the past, including some brand new ones and the games namesake as well, Godzilla. Players will fight against each other in eight destructible cities, letting the player destroy everything from skyscrapers to small buildings and pick up power-ups from causing the destruction.
The storyline is different from others, a non-linear one which constantly changes depending upon the decisions the player makes before, during and after battles. The PS2 version only features two player simultaneous play.
