Each round contains three normal questions and a Fast Money set of questions. This implies that you might join in the middle of a round, but as rounds are short and each question is only up for 30 seconds, it's not long before there is a new question to a leaderboard to view. Between questions and at the end of a round, the top 20 players are displayed. Players are scored on accuracy and time. For every second that you delay in answering your total possible score lowers.
L'Eredità is a video game based on the Italian TV quiz show of the same name.
Seven players compete in a series of rounds where they must answer various questions in a circular order. Each player starts with a fixed prize fund. When a player makes too many mistakes, they are at risk of elimination and can choose another player to challenge. The winner takes the prize fund of the other player, who is eliminated. The last remaining player must answer seven questions. If they fail to answer enough correctly, the losing finalist can steal the champion's title by answering an eighth question.
The game features both single-player and multiplayer modes for up to seven players. Each player can customize their name and appearance. The PlayStation 2 version supports the EyeToy camera. The game is fully voiced by the original host, Amadeus.
