Released as a rental-only exclusive for Blockbuster, and meant to serve as a side game to the original rather than a full-fledged sequel. The game is set in Hell and contains only one court, the "Pit of Hell", which wasn't in the original Outlaw Volleyball. Returning characters also had slight outfit variants to reflect the setting, like red horns and devil wings. The game can now be found at many used game retailers.

Exhibition and Quick Start are self-explanatory methods to play against the computer or a friend in a game of one-on-one, while the Season and Playoff modes allow you take your favorite team to the championship through 82 hard-fought games. Trades and Free Agents are in there too, and there are plenty of post-season awards that can be earned for prosperity (including MVP, Rookie of the Year, Defensive Player, Sixth Man, and more). ESPN NFL Football was released in September 2003 for PlayStation 2 and Xbox. It is the only game in the series not featuring 2K in the title; 2K4 was instead regulated to the bottom corner of the box art.
