Ski Challenge 2008 is an alpine skiing game. The game includes the famous alpine downhill tracks of Bormio, Val Gardena, Kitzbühel, Wengen and Val-d’Isère. The goal for the players is to climb the leaderboards by getting the fastest times. Three day events were held on each track to determine race winners who would win physical prizes.

Elf Bowling 7 1/7: The Last Insult is something of an update to Super Elf Bowling. Again, the elves are on strike so, they are bowling pins. In this newest version, however, you can pick up items that can be dirty tricks or bonuses. Dirty tricks are things like making you opponents ball half size, and less effective, or making the ball go out of control. Bonus items are things like speed boost or removing the gutters. The scoring is, otherwise, standard bowling scoring. Play goes to ten frames with the highest score winning.

Almost every school competing in Division I NCAA college basketball at the time was included in 2K8, including recent additions South Carolina-Upstate, Cal State-Bakersfield and Florida Gulf Coast. Not included were Presbyterian College and North Carolina Central, D-1 independents. Also, Centenary College of the Summit League was unlicensed and instead named UL-Calcutta. The game also featured the ability to change and modify rosters and share them online via the newly introduced 2K Share feature. The real coaches feature was dropped from this game, possibly because the coaches chose not to renew their contracts and all of the coaches are unnamed.
The announcers/commentators featured in the game were Verne Lundquist and Bill Raftery. The College Hoops series was put on hiatus in 2008 as 2K Spo

Tony Hawk's Proving Ground is a sequel to Tony Hawk's Project 8, this time letting the player be able to choose their own storyline by making different choices during the game with the ability to skate in Philadelphia, Baltimore, and Washington D.C.
There are four different classes of skaters (Rigger, Hardcore, Career and Street), which influences the story's direction. It also features an expanded Nail-the-Trick system with moves such as Nail-the-Grab and Nail-the Manual, Bowl Carving, Aggro Push, Skate Checking, Climbing/Exploration, Environment Altering, and Rig-a-Kit.
During the game the player can get advice from professional skaters to help mold their own created skater and learn new moves and tricks and has the ability to create their own skate park.
