The Elder Scrolls - Arena is the first RPG fantasy game of the Elder Scrolls series.
The game takes place on a planet called Nirn in the empire of Tamriel. The emperor of Tamriel, Uriel Septim, is planing to gather the whole Nirn under the imperial flag. He allies himself with the mage Jagar Tharn who is unfortunately intent on stealing the emperor's throne. Jagar Tharn imprisons the emperor in another dimension and locks the key inside a dungeon under the imperial city. Your job is to find all the pieces of the key, reassemble it, kill Jagger Tharn and free the emperor.
The Legend of Heroes III: Shiroki Majo (The White Witch) follows the adventures of a young boy named Jurio on his quest to complete his warrior initiation rite by traveling to five shrines. The game is the third entry in Falcom's long running RPG franchise and the first entry of the "Gargarv Trilogy" in the series. The White Witch was originally created for the NEC PC-98 on March 18, 1994 with several ports and remakes released in the future.
The Guardian has tricked you, Avatar. After you defeated Batlin on Serpent's Isle, he banished you to Pagan, a world under his control. Once, it was a beautiful land, but ever since the ancient battle between the Elemental Titans and the evil "Destroyer", it is engulfed in eternal twilight. Titans - now worshiped as gods - are cruel and uncaring. They bestow power on their most dedicated followers who, in turn, terrorize Pagan's population. To find a way back home, you need to become a Titan yourself before the Guardian succeeds in his plot to conquer Britannia--and then Earth itself.
The eighth installment of the Ultima series takes a much darker tone. The story is much more mature (do the ends justify the means?) and the game focuses more on action, like climbing and jumping across platforms. Training your character has also changed: the more you use an ability, the better you are with it. Without a party to assist you, you must rely on your own strength, dexterity, intelligence, and magical abilities to save Br
The Kingdom of Syree II: Black Magic is the sequel to the role-playing game The Kingdom of Syree. Like its predecessor, it bears considerable similarity to the early titles in the Ultima series.
In Black Magic, the player resumes the role of the Lord Champion of Syree, who, having defeated the evil wizard in the first game, returned to the life of a simple farmer. This peaceful existence however is interrupted when the news come that the Keeper of the Power has passed away. The Keeper is a person responsible for all the mystic powers in the realm. When a Keeper dies, the power is immediately transferred to a newborn child. This child must be raised as a good person for magical powers to be available to everyone, but if the Dark Forces find the child first, the balance of magic power will be upset. So the Lord Champion prepares for another journey to save the kingdom.
Shin Megami Tensei is a port of the original Super Famicom game. This port adds a new intro, new demons, enhanced graphics, and some presentation tweaks.
The gameplay uses first-person navigation of dungeons and turn-based battles against demons. The player can recruit demons as allies by talking to them rather than fighting them, and two to three demons can be fused to create new demons.
An overhead fantasy ARPG that uses a similar bump-attack style to the Ys games. Some unique features include a day/night cycle, some side-on action sequences and the ability to level up your weapons and armour.
Fantasy Empires is a role-playing fantasy wargame for DOS made by Silicon Knights and published by SSI in 1993. The game uses the Dungeons & Dragons license, and is set in the fictional world of Mystara.
The Avatar is once again summoned to the land of Britannia and this time he has to investigate ritual murders that have occurred in the town of Trinsic. Meanwhile, a new philosophical/social doctrine is spreading through Britannia, promoted by the mysterious Fellowship. The story of this version of Ultima VII is essentially the same as in the original PC version. However, the dialogues have been greatly reduced and/or simplified. This applies also to the size of the game's cities and other locations, the amount of items to pick up, interior details, etc. Combat also underwent significant changes. The battles in this version are action-based; the player has to click on the enemy repeatedly to win. Unlike the PC version with its party management, the Avatar is traveling and fighting solo in this release.
Runes Of Virtue 2 is the sequel to Runes Of Virtue for the Game Boy. Released on the Super Nintendo Entertainment System as well as the Game Boy, Runes Of Virtue 2 maintains the action-RPG gameplay as the original. In this game, the Black Knight kidnaps Lord Tholden, simply out of boredom. Lord British sends you, the Avatar, out to recover Tholden and return peace to Brittania.
As in the first Runes Of Virtue game you have the choice of selecting one of four characters. And again, there are three modes of difficulty.
