The game returns to the traditional gameplay style of the first two Langrisser games. You create your character and choose his class by answering questions in the beginning of the game (similar to Ultima games). Before the battles, you should recruit mercenaries, buy weapons and items, etc. Once in battle mode, you command several units led by stronger generals. Each unit has its own "judgment" ability"; units with high judgment ability will perform more moves during a turn.
Dive Alert: Matt's Version is a Role-Playing game, developed by Sacnoth and published by SNK, which was released in Japan in 1999. There is another version of Dive Alert called Dive Alert: Becky's Version with a different character and storyline.
Matt's version features different characters, items and boats to Becky's version. These are logged in a device similar to a Pokédex. The battles take place against other ships. A radar view is used to help players guide torpedoes against the enemy. A large part of the game is text based with animated cutscenes. A PS1 RPG with 3-D models and pre-rendered backdrops, Ancient Roman was released in 1998 by Nihon System, but exploded into internet infamy in the late 2010s as word of the game began to spread through Japanese gaming circles. It is now widely considered to be one of the worst RPGs ever made by Japanese retro gamers.
Reminiscent of Diablo, but instead of maps, the game consists of eighteen 3D globes. There are no boundaries, you can walk all the way around the globe if you want to. This does get somewhat confusing at times though. In order to move to the next globe, you have to find all the pieces of a stone disk.
However, your enemies will also pick up the disk pieces and you have to defeat them to get them back. When you die, you are reincarnated at your "oracle", a stone structure which you have to defend. If your oracle is destroyed, you can no longer be resurrected. This is also true for your enemies.

Shuujin he no Pert-em-Hru is a Japanese freeware role-playing video game created with RPG Maker Dante 98 II, by Makoto Yaotani. "Pert-em-Hru" refers to the Egyptian Book of the Dead, so the title of the game means "The Book of the Dead for the Prisoners". The game was produced by two people, with Yaotani responsible for most of the development, and production took a year and a half to complete.

Baldur's Gate is a fantasy role-playing video game developed by BioWare and published in 1998 by Interplay Entertainment.
