The Avatar, the embodiment of the Eight Virtues and the hero of Britannia, is called back to deal with a grave threat. Lord British, the country's benevolent monarch, has disappeared, and a man named Blackthorn has usurped his throne. The tyrant rules the land by enforcing the virtues upon the will of the people, corrupting their meaning in the process. His fundamentalist visions led him to create a police state, where failure to adhere to the virtues is punishable by death. Behind Blackthorn are the three Shadowlords, anti-thesis to the three principles of Truth, Love, and Courage. The Avatar must understand their meaning and origins, find a way to defeat them, rescue Lord British, and restore the former ethical principles of Britannia.

3Kingdoms is a text-based adventure. In 3K, you "read" the world as you play and interact with it, using thousands of intuitive verb commands. Want to wield that sword you just found? You would enter "wield sword". Want to take a closer look at that desk in the secret room you just found? You would enter "examine desk" and then maybe follow up with "search desk" for a closer look. To help you out in the game, all you need to do is type "help" to give you access to 3K's expansive help files. Beyond that, the same files are available online right here if you ever need them.

GayBlade is a video game developed by Ryan Best and released in 1992. It has been thought to be the earliest LGBT-themed video game, but was preceded by 1989's Caper in the Castro. In the 2020 Netflix documentary, High Score, Ryan Best claimed that the game was lost as he misplaced the masters to the game. The game was later found with the help of the LGBTQ Video Game Archive.

Princess Minerva is a role-playing video game developed and published by Riverhillsoft for the NEC PC-9801 in 1992 in Japan only. An original video animation by Group TAC was originally released by Toho in May 1995 in Japan; it was later released also in the United States. The extended franchise also includes a manga series, an illustrated serial novel, and other media.
The first game in the series came out in 1992 on Amiga, Atari ST and DOS. It takes place on the island of Kendoria. At the beginning, the player controls a warrior called Aramir, and he must defeat Krogh, an evil sorcerer who has killed lord Jarel. The game takes its name from Krogh's fortress, Ishar, whose name means "unknown" in the game's fictional elf language. In order to achieve this, the player's characters must travel across the whole island and, among other things, meet with the surviving companions of Jarel.
Most of Ishar takes place in an outdoor environment, which was original for computer roleplaying games of the time. It also featured a unique system to change the lineup of player characters: the player can have up to five characters at the same time, but each one will like or dislike his comrades. These preferences come into play when the player tries to recruit or dismiss a character, because the other characters will then vote for or against the recruitment or dismissal.
